CRMI cueists Simranjeet, Huzefa chug into second round

Simranjeet Singh (+35) from Central Railway Mechanical Institute (CRMI) was slow to get of the blocks, but gradually found his rhythm to prevail over Matunga Gymkhana’s Darshan Shah (+40) by chugging to a 3-0 (87-94, 90-59, 88-86 and 101-76) win in a first round match of the BSAM Snooker Grassroot Challenger (Leg-2) 2023, at the Islam Gymkhana on Tuesday.
Joining Simranjeet in the second round was his teammate Huzefa Cheni (+30) who managed to put it across Garware Club House contender Suraj Karande (+45) in three closely contested frames 3-0 (99-76, 95-67 and 97-95).
