JVPG’s Kanani battles past Jaising in five close frames

Birju Kanani of Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana (JVPG) and Yudhisthir Jaising of Otters Club were locked in an engrossing tussle for supremacy as they both gave it their best shot to come out on top. Kanani trailing 1-2 held his nerves to win the last two frames in succession and dash the hopes of his Otters Club opponent to post a fighting 3-2 victory in five closely contested frames in a quarter-final match of the BSAM Snooker Grassroot Challenger 2023 at the P.J. Hindu Gymkhana billiards hall on Monday.
The JVPG player looked to be heading for the exit door, but a sudden rush of blood and steady potting helped him to pull off a 29-57, 44-30, 24-53, 66-36 and 56-29 victory.
