Qureshi sidelines Shaikh to book place in pre-quarters

Shakir Qureshi of Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana enjoyed a good roll of the balls and overcame Thane contender Owais Shaikh posting a win in four games to march into the last 16 of the BSAM Snooker Grassroot Challenger 2023.
The young inexperienced Qureshi and Shaikh shared the first two frames. Qureshi then started to pot with a bit more consistency and did well to cut down on the mistakes while Shaikh unable show an improvement with his shots and could not keep pace with the WCG cueist who won the next two frames on the trot to close out contest registering a 55-44, 50-64, 59-43 and 64-12 victory at the Hindu Gymkhana tables on Friday.
