Leg 1 - Winner - Devendra Patel
Deven Patel from Kalyan was simply superb and emerged champion by convincingly defeating Islam Gymkhana's Alam Shaikh 4-1 in the best-of-7-frame final of the BSAM Snooker Challenger (Leg-1) 2023-2024, at the Bombay Gymkhana billiards room on Friday evening.
Patel started tentatively and Shaikh did well to win the first frame and wrest the early advantage. Thereafter, Shaikh lost his touch, while Patel lifted the level of his game and dominated the rest of contest winning the next four frames in succession to quickly wrap up the match, with the frame scores reading 60-71, 78-26, 62-28, 60-35 and 64-57 in his favour and to clinch the top honours.
