Reigning champion Raajeev Sharma of Malabar Hill Club (+30 handicap) stole the thunder by constructing the highest break of 99 and quashed the aspirations of Thane's rookie cueist Krishna Tohgaonkar (+30 handicap) by snatching a 4-3 win and retain his crown in the BSAM Snooker Challenger (Leg-2) 2023-2024, at the Bombay Gymkhana on Friday evening.
Sharma started in rousing fashion and after the massive effort in the second, he narrowly took the next to lead 3-0. But, the Thane contender who plays at Cue-In Snooker parlour won the following three frames to draw level at 3-all.
