Match Format & Rules
BSAM Handicap Billiards Tournament 2024
Tournament Dates: 15th to 26th July 2024
( THIS TOURNAMENT IS ONLY FOR PLAYERS OVER THE AGE OF 50 )
ENTRY:
• Entry Fee: ₹1500/-.
• Entry must be sent via email ONLY.
• Email address = bsamah@gmail.com.
• Last Date for Entry = 12th July 2024 at 5pm.
• Entry will be accepted on first come first basis.
• Minimum entry of 32 is required to host this event.
• Matches will be schedule at 2 slots, 12 or 2 pm.
• Note. Prize money details announced depending on the number of entries we receive.
PARTICIPATION CRITERIA:
• Leg 1 - Players who play the BSAM Billiards League with Scratch handicap or higher handicaps.
• Leg 2 - Players who play the BSAM Billiards League with minus handicaps.
FORMAT:
• Race to 200 Points.
• Knockout Draw of 32 or more in Leg 1
• Leg 1 will be played all the way to the Final.
• Last 8 qualify of Leg 1will be added to the Leg 2 draw.
• Leg 2 is where the minus handicapped players join in.
• There is a possibility that the Leg 2 may be scheduled after the Western India tournament.
HANDICAP:
• Every player will be given a handicap based on his/her skill level.
• The Tournament Committee can/will review the handicaps after every round.
• The decision of the Tournament Committee will be final and binding.
WALKOVER RULE:
• Reporting time is 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time.
• A player late by 15 minutes will lose the match.
• The Digital Clock of the said venue will be the official Time Keeper.
DRAW & MATCH SCHEDULE:
• Multiple Venues for this event – NSCI, Islam Gymkhana & Garware Club House.
• Matches will be scheduled at 14:00 HRs or later.
• The draw and the match schedule will be put up on the website www.bsam.in.
• All participants must refer to only the BSAM website for their schedule.
• No reminders or notifications will be sent once the tournament has commenced.
• Matches once scheduled will ‘not’ be adjusted or rescheduled.
DRESS CODE:
• Formal clothing is permitted: Collared shirt with trousers/pants, socks & shoes.
• Informal clothing is permitted: Collared t-shirt with jeans, socks & sport shoes.
• Torn or ragged clothing is ‘not’ permitted.
• Socks must be ankle length or higher. No show/loafer socks is ‘not’ permitted.
• Low waist lowers will ‘not’ be permitted.
• Shorts, 3/4ths & track pants is ‘not’ permitted.
• Sandals, chappals or open footwear is ‘not’ permitted.
• Any participant violating the dress code will ‘not’ be permitted to play their match and will be given 10 minutes to make the correction, failing which the said match will be awarded to the opponent.
DISCIPLINE & DECORUM:
• All participants are requested to maintain decorum in the said venues.
• Any participant or their companion failing to do so will be asked to leave.
• Mobiles must be silent at all times.
