If a player is found to be smoking during a match he will loose the next frame to be played
Dear players,
Get ready for the “Malabar Hill Club State Ranking Snooker Tournament”.
The main draw kicks off at Malabar Hill Club from 6th November but before that, qualifying rounds will take place in six cities across the state. This applies to both 15 reds and 6 reds snooker formats. Mark your calendars and start preparing - Mumbai qualifying starts from 10th October.
Important Details:
* Player Eligibility criteria:
- Must be a domicile of Maharashtra
- Must not be working in Railways or in any Petroleum company.
- If he is already in the top 8 of India then he is not allowed to compete in the State Ranking.
(If a player qualifies for nationals then he/she has to play for Maharashtra only at the nationals).
* Locations:
1. Mumbai
2. Pune
3. Nagpur
4. Chatrapati Sambhaji Nagar
5. Kolhapur
6. Nashik
* No of qualifiers in each city:
1. Mumbai - 10-12 (depending upon Pune entries)
2. Pune - between 4 and 6 (depending upon number of entries)
3. Nagpur - 4
4. Chatrapati Sambhaji Nagar - 4
5. Kolhapur - 4
6. Nashik - 4
* City-wise Schedules:
Detailed schedules for each city will be announced soon. Please note that players can participate only in the residing or the nearest city incase player is not from the residing city.
* Entry fees:
Senior Snooker - ₹1,500
Senior Billiards - ₹1,200
6 Reds Snooker - ₹1,200
Junior Snooker - ₹750
Junior Billiards - ₹500
* Main draw
The main draw is planned to be hosted from 6th November onwards and will be held in Mumbai at The Malabar Hill club.
BSAM will support all the non-Mumbai qualifiers with ₹10,000 for covering their travel, lodging and boarding costs for main draw of the state ranking Senior 15 reds snooker.
(*If the same player also qualifies for the 6-Red then additional amount of Rs 5000/- would be paid to him to cover the expenses. If different player qualifies for Senior 6 Red snooker main draw then he would be paid Rs 7000/- to cover his expenses).
It is mandatory for only the qualifiers to register with BSAM by paying the annual registration fees of ₹500.
