Ishpreet Singh turns Pro!
Ishpreet Singh turns Pro!
1984, India etched its name on the global map as Om B. Agrawal opened the gates to the world of Snooker by becoming the first Indian and Asian to win a World Snooker (Amateur) Title.
Turning pro in 1985, Agrawal’s journey marked the start of a new chapter where India, the birth place of the sport, was seen rising as it triumphed.
Yasin Merchant and Aditya Mehta went on to take India to greater heights in the World Professional Circuit bettering the records in 1992 and 2018 respectively.
With more than 1000 players across the country thriving to perform at all levels, our very own Ishpreet Singh now joins his predecessors from the state and we cannot be more proud to see him perform yet again and start a new journey as a professional.
Congratulating Ishpreet Singh on this glorious victory and seeing India on the global map, the Billiards and Snooker Association of Maharashtra feels more inclined towards honing more talent, producing champions and watch India dominate the Snooker Scenes in the future.
This is Snooker and this is our legacy!
