PYC Open Snooker Championship 2016

20th July to 30th July

 

Finals and Semi Finals of the tournament will be played on the 30th of july 2016


TOURNMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. The tournament will commence on 20th July 2016 at 10.00 a.m. and will be conducted in the BILIARDS ROOM of PYC Hindu Gymkhanna, 766 Shivajinagar, Bhandarkar Road, Pune 411004. The tournament will be under the aieges of BSAM (Billiard And Snooker Association of Maharashtra).
2. Prize Money :

                                           Winner  :        Rs. 25000/-

                                          Runner   :         Rs. 15,000/-

                                        S. finalist  :        Rs. 7,500/- (each)             
                                       Q. finalist  :          Rs. 3,500/- (each)     
                                     Highest break :          Rs. 5,000/- 

                                     2nd Highest break :          Rs. 3,000/-

The TDS @ 10%  will be deducted from the prize  as may be applicable and the certificate will be  issued  at  appropriate time.

3.  Entries must be accompanied by the Entry Fee. Entry fee is Rs.1000/-

4. The total number of entries will be restricted to 128. Last date of entries will be 10th  July 2016.  Entrries With Late fee will be open till 13th July. Late fee will be Rs.500/- The tournament committee reserves the right to refuse any entry without assigning any reasons whatsoever.

5. Please note that a walkover given by any player without a genuine reason may be liable for action from BSAM.

6. The Draws will be displayed on the notice board of PYC Hindu Gymkhana at 18.00 Hrs on 15th of July and will be available on BSAM site as well.
7. Programme of matches shall be strictly adhered to. Matches once arranged shall not be advanced or postponed without the consent of the Tournament Committee.
8.  In the event of participant failing to turn up on the scheduled start time but within 30 minutes will have to concede two frames to the opponent and failing to report within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time of the match he/she shall be deemed to have given a walkover to opponent. In the event of both participants failing to turn up for their match, the match will be considered abandoned and cancelled without further rescheduling.
9. Matches played will be best of 5 frames. Semi Finals and Final will be best of 7 frames.
10. Matches will be scheduled from 10.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs.
11. The decision of the referee or in his absence by the marker will be final and binding on all players.
12. Smoking, consumption of alcohol and bringing of eatables will not be permitted inside the Snooker Room. Mobile phones should be switched off before entering the billiard room.
13.  Dress Code: Formal trousers and shirts, Collared T-shirts , Sports shoes will be allowed. Participants wearing any kind of jeans, any kind of round neck T-shirts, Chappals, floaters, Sandals will not be allowed to play their
     match.
14. The tournament committee reserves the right to change or modify any of the rules during the course of the tournament.
