KAMAL CHAWLA ENTERS SEMI FINALS
Kamal Chawla entered the Semifinals of the ACBS 1st Asian Billiard Sport Championship 2016, being played here in Al Fujairah, UAE, at the Concorde Hotel. In the 6 Red event being played on a knock-out basis Kamal won back to back matches from being 2 frames down to win the both matches 5-2 & 5-3. In the pre quarter finals he beat Habib Subah (Bahrain) 5-3. In the quarter finals he beat Ahmed Saif ( Qatar) 5-2. He now plays Au Chi Wai (Hongkong) for a place in the finals. Brijesh Damani on the other hand squandered a 4-2 lead to eventually lose to Mohammed Bilal (pakistan) 4-5.
In the 9 ball singles discioline, Himanshu Jain lost to Lo Ho Sum (Hongkong) 8-9 and again lost to Mohammed Sharief (Palestine) 7-9. Shabaaz Khan lost to lost his first match to Abdullah Al Shammari (Saudi Arabia) 2-9 but then won 2 matches on the trot in the losers bracket to keep his hope alive.
